Curse of The Black Death (PDF)
Quantity:

Curse of The Black Death is now available again but as a PDF so that you can ‘make it yourself’. This is simple to prepare, you use your own Tarot cards, an item available in most households and some black ribbon, available from craft shops or any haberdashery.

How it looks:

The occultist takes out some Tarot cards.  They are threaded onto a black ribbon. He holds the cards dangling from the ribbon as he tells a weird tale of how the Black Death came to Europe and of the death and destruction that followed.

The tale continues about a King who sealed up his castle in order to cheat the Black Death. The Black Death is not pleased and decides to punish the King. The cards are shown and are said to represent the King and his court. The Black Death decides that all save one shall die in the castle. The one who is saved will tell the world of the horrors inside the castle.

The volunteer acts as The Black Death and gets to choose the one to be saved. They have a free choice of Tarot card that is unknown to the occultist. The cards are mixed together, and the tale continues. The black ribbon that represents the plague is threaded through all the cards so that apparently none can escape.

The volunteer holds the cards, and the occultist holds the ribbon. At the appropriate part in the story the occultist (the plague) pulls on the ribbon. All the cards come away except one that the volunteer is left holding. When it is turned over it is seen to be the one chosen to be saved!
